Weaver Ranch, Raymondville, Texas
Kent Weaver, the owner of the ranch, had over the years developed a relationship with several species of local hawks and falcons. Two of the hawks were these two Harris's hawks that nest on his property. To attract them to a certain area he will place small peices of venison or other meat on the ground and in some old tree trunks; otherwise, these hawks are completely wild. I liked this image because it shows the pair in front of some nice wildflowers.
Adjustments to light and shadows, some sharpening and crop for composition's sake.
