This beautiful Hummingbird Moth kept me company in our cutting flower garden, on one of the hottest and most humid days I can remember. After four hours of weeding, I finally stopped and grabbed the camera. As usual, I got carried away and shot about 175 photos of him. During a break, I turned on the water sprinkler about fifteen feet from where he was in the garden, to give my Gladiolus a much needed drink. That made him happy as well! As he moved into the stream of water that was gently falling on some of the Purple Coneflowers, I moved with him, sitting in the mud, sometimes crawling on my knees, sweat running down my face, too thrilled at the photos I was getting to do anything about it. This is the last entry into the contest and it is one that I am probably most excited about. It was worth the mud, sweat and no tears, just joy, pure joy.
