Garibaldi are very protective fish. When I came across this Garibaldi (in the back) with a large swatch of eggs on the rock. Camera ready I was able to snap a shot as another swam by. Moments later the nesting Garibaldi chased out the other, but the moment frozen in time is a perfect glimpse at the Southern California underwater world.
