Southern Africa, Namibia, Namib-Naukluft Park, Sossusvlei, Deadvlei
Fog only occurs in Deadvlei about five times a year. Initially, we were upset to have missed the opportunity to photograph in the normal crisp dawn light. But we soon realized we had a wonderful unique experience and enjoyed photographing the desiccated 900-year-old camel thorn trees in the soft light below the lifting fog.
