Georgetown Waterfront Park (NPS), Washington DC
The recently completed Georgetown Waterfront Park, a National Park in Georgetown, is filled with native landscaping that creates a wonderful place to see birds and butterflies in the heart of the city. This Orange Sulphur butterfly (Colias eurytheme) was feeding on nectar on a sunny October afternoon. I was drawn to the vivid colors of the butterfly and the flower lit by low angle sun.
