Bald Eagle
Photographer: Teresa McGill
Location: Central Lake, MI
Story:
We have been researching the bald eagle for the last thirteen years with ten of those winters in our eagle blind. Sadly we had to relocate this year. But it wasn't long before we had visitors thanks to this extremely harsh Michigan winter. I came home to find this 2nd year eagle in one of our trees. I got my gear and approached him. He, of course, took off circling around and flying right over me. I could see the moon in the viewfinder as it was flying. I was so excited to see that I captured the eagle 'flying over the moon'.
