Queen Elisabeth National Park, Uganda
I took this photo during a morning game drive. Impalas tend to be shy and don't like to be approached very closely. They usually run away very fast if you get too close. In this picture, this male impala stood in tall grasses, while a group of females walked off. It almost seemed like this male impala was letting younger members of his group, and females, to vacate the immediate area, before he did the same. A split second after I took this picture (from afar, with a super telephoto lens), the impala jumped over the grass and vanished.
