Fall is a great time of year to photograph bighorns. They are in the mating season called the rut. Males will clash horns, paw at each other and chase the females in a battle to dominate the breeding. But the rut of the 2013 season was a little more mellow than usual. So I tried some different techniques to photograph the rams, such as a panning technique on this big boy.
Adjustments to cropping, shadows and highlights, spot removal, noise reduction and sharpening.
