Gaze of a Tiger
Photographer: Jacqui Scibior
Location: Sydney, Australia
Story:
I have always been unsure of my opinion on Zoos. I hate to see animals cooped up, but I also know that it a safe environment for them and that zoos conduct vital research to species preservation. Upon entering the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia I saw this mighty tiger glaring over the crowds of people, almost as if it was envisioning its natural habitat in the Asian continent. The irresistible beauty and demeanor of this animal was hard to not admire. I took this picture as I feel it represents a forecast to the future of the tiger population. Does this tiger foresee further endangerment or plush natural lands for its species to roam freely?
