Tawau Hills Park, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia
Unlike the other mammals of Tawau Hills Park in Malaysian Borneo, the Long-tailed Macaques (Macaca fascicularis) are quite accustomed to humans. In fact, they generally stay near buildings to look for food thrown away by people. As this male was walking below a raised house, he was stirring up the ground, causing insects to scatter in his wake. By underexposing the animals in the shade, against the sunlit lawn in the background, I was able to create the silhouette.
