Chilkat River, Haines Alaska
Haines Alaska in December is an incredible place as thousands of Bald Eagles converge along the Chilkat river for a late salmon run. Conditions were perfect, fresh snow, hoar frost and windless conditions. The downside was it was -10 degrees F. never the less I caught an image of a beautiful adult Bald Eagle looking up at me while eating a freshly caught salmon. A little Mockingbird looks on waiting his turn.
