Male Pin-Tailed Whydah
Photographer: Kyle Perler
Location: Liwonde National Park Malawi
Story:
As the sun began to set I found this Pin-Tailed Whydah that was trying to impress a female by displaying it's long tail feathers. It would hover in place for only a second or two before moving to another spot. It took me almost 2 hours of moving and positioning myself behind the female without disturbing her.
Digital Alterations:
Slightly lowered the branch in the foreground so it didn't touch the bird's wing.
Camera Information: 5D Mark III with a 70-200 and a 2x modifier
