Location: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
We came upon a beautiful Female Cheetah with two small cubs. They had all been feeding on a wildebeest kill and were taking a break when I captured this shot. Since Cheetah are not good at climbing, cubs are left alone in the grasses of the savanna while their mother hunts, leaving them vulnerable to many types of predators. Despite this, it is believed that Cheetah numbers are growing slowly in the Serengeti.
