Wildebeest Calf
Photographer: Barbara Fleming
Location: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Story:
It was amusing to watch this young Wildebeest stop, study the crossing carefully, holding up the long line of adults who waited behind, before it made the jump and joined others on the far side of the river. Wildebeest calves can stand minutes after birth and within days run alone side their mothers with the rest of the herd.
