Dawes Glacier, Endicott Arm, Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness, Southeast Alaska (Wilderness)
I have spent months in and around the waters of Tracy Arm and Fords Terror trying to show the human element in a calving glacier image to give the image some size perspective. I have never had a group line-up in front of me before I came across this one lone kayaker and a raft full of tourists who got a jawing dropping view of the 200-foot-high Dawes Glacier calving.
Adjusted for color, saturation, contrast, removal of dust, grain suppression and sharpness.
