Chobe River, Kisane, Botswana
While on a photo safari in Botswana in June 2013, we could see many hundreds of elephants along the Chobe River. A large family of elephants came up from the river and the group split, and completely surrounded our jeep. It was a surreal experience. While most of the ellies just ignored our presence, this one stopped and took a second look at us. They are such majestic and surprisingly graceful animals.
