Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Boynton Beach, Florida, USA
This baby raccoon was momentarily separated from his family, as they scoured the marshland for some afternoon snacks, at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Boynton Beach, Florida. I took this photograph in a tender moment of curiosity between he and I, each wanting to know a little bit more about the other, in the stillness of this wonderful wildlife habitat that is his home. As quickly as he came, this baby raccoon scampered away along the water's edge to re-join his mama and three siblings, in search of more tasty morsels and some light-hearted play.
