My backyard cypress swamp
This pair of Black-bellied Whistling Ducks arrived on May 9th, but somehow missed getting dibs on the big box we made just for them. They spent a lot of time on this smaller box, waiting for the hen Wood Duck's eggs to hatch. When they finally did, we replaced this box with a larger one and enlarged the entrance hole to Whistling Duck size. Digiscoped with the camera set on manual focus and all focusing done with the scope.
Color adjustment in Camera Raw, noise reduction, sharpening; only slightly cropped
Digiscoped using a Panasonic DMC-GH4 with the 20mm/1.7 lens, mounted on a Swarovski STX85 spotting scope with the DCB II adapter and Rail II; Manfrotto 502 head and RRS TVC-33 legs with leveling base.
