Moonglow Dairy, Moss Landing, California
In May 2014 my wife and I drove to Moss Landing to photograph herons, egrets and cormorants at a large rookery on private land. There were hundreds of individual birds, and plenty of activity, including adults bringing in food to the nests and feeding their young. Here, just after a parent egret has left the nest after feeding her three babies, two of the babies are playing and practicing.
