I was photographing this mother lion-tailed macaque (Macaca silenus) and baby when suddenly the mother turned away and the baby assumed this curious pose, suggesting as though it was offering me some of its food as the mother looked the other way! The fleeting moment was enough to remind me how endearing animals are and how we need to strive with all the energy and the resources we have to save this precious heritage in a sense of co-existence and celebration of ecological diversity.
