Rocky Mountain National Park, CO
This RMNP Elk with his two older buddies were attempting to steal an afternoon nap on a mountain ridge. He tried mightily to balance his chin on the ground while napping. However, due to his large unbalance antlers and the clapping of thunder from a rapidly forming nearby storm left him awake and sighing deeply with frustration.
Image was shot in Nikon RAW format. Only accepted adjustments of color, contrast, brightness and sharpness; removal of dust and scratches and cropping were preformed.
