About National Wildlife Federation's EcoLeaders Program

National Wildlife Federation has a 28 year history of working with colleges and universities through its Campus Ecology program to protect wildlife and habitat, and improve campuses overall green educational programming and onsite sustainability. Founded in 1989, its student outreach programs, campus consulting, natural resource reduction competition, and educational events and resources reach about 1,000 campuses each year. In 2014. NWF launched it’s EcoLeaders Program, a sustainability leadership and career development program for college students and young professionals. Over the last few years, we have transitioned from Campus Ecology to focus our efforts on the EcoLeaders Program. However, the Campus Ecology Resource Center remains one of the best collection of conservation and sustainability resources for colleges and universities in the U.S. Our one of a kind case study database features more than 800 case studies searchable by state and 18 different sustainability topics.
