Cooper City

Cooper City's has the distinction of being a Tree City USA for over 35 years and their logo is a tree and the words "Someplace Special". Cooper City was chosen by Family Circle magazine as one of the 10 best towns for families. The city has excellent park and recreational facilities and exceptional schools. The Cooper City Commission voted in 2012 to ensure that "Someplace Special" is also "Someplace Green". They have instituted several successful programs to conserve water and protect water quality. For the past 26 years, the city has held an annual tree and plant care workshop.

Crescent Valley

The Crescent Valley Biodiversity Management Area is approximately 800 acres and extends from Gig Harbor northward, following Crescent Creek, and including Crescent Lake. This area consists mostly of single-family homes, along with a few hobby farms. The Crescent Valley Alliance, an organization of local residents interested in maintaining the area's wealth of biodiversity, is leading the project. Crescent Valley registered as a Community Wildlife Habitat in October, 2006.

Davie

The town of Davie began as a small farm community at the edge of the Everglades, and it still consists of both residential and agricultural areas. Davie has a large horse-owning population and has still has a “Western” feel to it. In earlier years, cattle ranching was common, but much of the land has converted to residential or commercial zoning. Davie has many equestrian and recreational trails, as well as canals. Druid Hills

Druid Hills is about 5 miles from downtown Atlanta.
