The GM Eco-Green Partnership fosters and connects a network of K-12 National Wildlife Federation Eco-Schools with their local GM facility employees, independent dealers and supplier networks. Collaboratively, they develop goals and action plans that result in "on-the-ground" school and community activities and contribute to a healthy and sustainable future.
GM employees, independent dealers and supplier networks can sign up as GM Eco-Green Mentors and become recognized as active and visible members in their community.

The National Wildlife Federation offers you an online orientation to our program that illustrates how you and your team can effectively support schools in your community on a variety of environmental pathways and projects.
Eco-Schools USA is a nationwide school greening program that helps American K-12 schools to:
This program uses a 7-Step Framework for best environmental management practices within twelve pathways. Eco-Action Teams or green teams focus attention on which pathway(s) they are most prepared to address in their local context and follow the framework to spiral change into the community from the student learning experience.
Many participating schools engage in community service projects and service learning projects such as watershed monitoring, invasive species removal at local parks, stream clean-ups and more. Implementation of this program results in increased student achievement, increased financial savings and increased environmental conditions. Eco-Schools USA recognizes the progress a school makes with a 3-tiered award system.
