Funded in part by NASA's Innovations in Climate Education (NICE) program, the Greenforce® Initiative's Building a Diverse, Green Workforce project engages faculty in strengthening STEM career education options that are available to adult learners by incorporating curricula and other tools derived from NASA resources into college coursework serving low-income and underrepresented students. Project partners include Edgecombe Community College in North Carolina, the National Council for Science and the Environment, Wayne County Community Colleges District in Michigan , and Wilbur Wright College in Illinois.
