Start a Garden
Get your gardening tools out and plant your favorite fruits and veggies. It's easy!
  • Soil
  • Your favorite flower, fruit, or vegetable seeds for planting
  • Kid size gardening tools
  • Watering Pail
Step 1
Bring your children outside and show them how to garden!

Let your kids dig the holes to put the seeds in.  Encourage them to use their tools or even their hands.  There's nothing wrong with getting a little dirt on you!  Once the holes are dug, let them pick out their favorite flowers, fruits, or veggies to start growing.

Step 2
Cover the seeds with dirt.

Once you have planted all the seeds, cover them up with the soil.  Grab your watering pail and go around to each spot and make sure they all get enough water to help them grow.
