Washington, DC — The National Wildlife Federation’s Ranger Rick Jr. magazine has earned the 2020 Teacher’s Choice Award in the Family category from The Education Center Media Group. The prestigious award is awarded based on evaluations of teachers who are also parents and their views on which children’s books, games, websites, electronics, and other media are best for at-home learning.
“Our primary goal with every issue of Ranger Rick Jr. is to make sure the magazine is not only informative, but also fun,” said Lori Collins, editor-in-chief of the National Wildlife Federation’s Early Childhood Publications. “Being recognized by Learning magazine as one of the best tools for at-home learning validates our playful approach to teaching kids about animals and the worlds they live in.”
Ranger Rick Jr. was one of eight winning products selected by a panel of educators from across the country. The awards have been announced on the Teachers’ Choice website and will also be spotlighted in the spring 2020 issue of Learning magazine.
Learning magazine introduced the Teachers’ Choice Awards in 1994. The Family category was launched in 2004.
