WASHINGTON, D.C. — The newly unveiled Moving Forward Act is an ambitious and comprehensive plan for putting Americans back to work, rebuilding the nation’s aging infrastructure, and acting on the climate crisis. The National Wildlife Federation pledged to keep working with House leadership to ensure the bill includes additional provisions to include investments in environmental justice, natural infrastructure for resilience and wildlife, and ecosystem restoration.

“With record numbers of Americans out of work, our infrastructure crumbling, and climate crisis intensifying, we need ambitious, future-focused solutions that rise to meet the magnitude of these crises. The Moving Forward Act rightly includes policies the National Wildlife Federation has championed, including the Rebuild America’s Schools Act and clean energy incentives,” said Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation. “We will continue to work with Speaker Pelosi and our allies on the Hill to ensure the bill makes additional investments in environmental justice and natural infrastructure that bolster community resilience and restore wildlife habitat, but this is a strong foundation upon which to build.”
