Camp In, Camp Out, Camp On with the Great American Campout

National Wildlife Federation, Arrive Outdoors Launch Partnership to Make Camping Gear Accessible to All Americans

Reston, Va. – To offer all Americans a way to responsibly and safely enjoy camping and nature, even in these unprecedented times, the National Wildlife Federation and Arrive Outdoors have forged a new partnership. Through the alliance, Arrive Outdoors will provide Great American Campout participants with the equipment and tools necessary to camp in the great outdoors, from backyards or even inside the home.

Thousands of campers nationwide are taking the pledge to enjoy nature and protect wildlife during the National Wildlife Federation’s 16th annual Great American Campout™, which will run from June to October. The Great American Campout is a celebration of camping as a way to connect with nature and highlight that camping can take place during any season and in almost any location.

“From the safety of your home, yard, or in the great outdoors, the Great American Campout is the perfect way to spend quality time safely with family and friends, while learning about nature and wildlife,” said Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation. “As a father and husband, I know that it is more important than ever to unwind and unplug with loved ones during these uncertain and stressful times. Through our new partnership with Arrive Outdoors, we are taking a first step toward making camping accessible to every American household.” “

We are thrilled to partner with the National Wildlife Federation to make it easier than ever for everyone to access the outdoors without having to spend a ton of money on gear,” said Rachelle Snyder, Arrive Outdoors CEO and Co-Founder. “Whether you are able to visit a state park near you to camp or hike, or simply doing a campout right in your backyard with your family, we’re able to provide you with convenient and affordable access to high quality gear for your summer adventures.”

Arrive Outdoors offers the flexibility to reserve gear ranging from tents, coolers, sleeping bags and cookware, to camp furniture. A two-person tent can be rented for as low as $4 per day. Camping sets that include a tent and a sleeping pad and bag can be rented for $8 per day. Orders will be delivered directly to homes, hotels, or even 10,000+ FedEx or FedEx affiliate locations. At the end of the trip, customers can place the items back in the box, adhere the free return label and drop off at any FedEx location.

Arrive Outdoors has implemented extensive health and safety measures in light of the COVID-19 crisis. The company thoroughly hand-cleans and treats all rental gear with CDC recommended cleaning solutions. Tents are washed, treated and line-dried before the next rental. All apparel is commercially laundered and treated with laundry additives to fight viruses.
