Emily Fano is Senior Manager for the National Wildlife Federation's NYC Eco-Schools program. In this capacity she recruits and engages K-12 public, private and charter schools, develops, implements and manages educational programming in partnership with city, state, and federal non-profit partners, conducts teacher trainings, creates and delivers professional development workshops, hosts networking events for educators, manages NYC Eco-Schools' social media sites, and is part of the Northeast office's grant-writing and fundraising team.

Fano has over 20 years of professional advocacy, media, and educational policy experience in the non-profit sector. She holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University, and is a trained presenter with Al Gore’s Climate Reality Leadership Corps.

Prior to NWF, Fano helped to launch a food and tray waste recycling pilot in eight New York City public schools that became a model for a citywide implementation.
