Nestled in the Ozark Mountains, Fayetteville is best characterized by its extensive trail system, historic downtown square, farmers markets, arts, and “Keep Fayetteville Funky” advocates. Arkansas’ most extensive entertainment district is located on Dickson Street in Fayetteville. In 2009, Fayetteville received a Volunteer Community of the Year Award from the Arkansas Department of Human Services. In 2007, it was ranked eighth in Forbes Magazine’s Top 10 Best Places in America for Business and Careers.
