Our annual reports highlight the work and progress we make each year in inspiring Americans to protect wildlife for our children's future. Learn about what the National Wildlife Federation works on and also find our IRS Tax Forms 990 below.
For decades the National Wildlife Federation has relied on direct mail to recruit and maintain the large membership we have, which makes us the largest conservation organization in the country. Additionally, direct mail is used to maintain our subscriber base in our award-winning children’s publications such as Ranger Rick® and Ranger Rick Jr.™
We communicate by postal mail—and other channels—not only to generate income and maintain our membership base, but to educate the public, thereby advancing our environmental mission. As a result, in accordance with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidelines, the National Wildlife Federation allocates a portion of our direct mail costs to program services and to fundraising.
