Pollinators are animals that feed on flower nectar and pollen, thus transferring pollen and fertilizing plants. Pollination not only allows flowering plants to reproduce, but also to produce the seeds, fruits, nuts, and other foods on which both wildlife and people rely. Naturalist David Mizejewski introduces you to our pollinating wildlife and reveals why everything you think you know about bees is wrong. You’ll learn how to create a natural green space using native plants that attracts and supports pollinators, and how to get it recognized by the National Wildlife Federation as a Certified Wildlife Habitat®.
Recorded March 31, 2022.
During this webcast, David referenced a number of additional Federation resources to help with your gardening needs.
