Powered by students, teachers, and principals, National Wildlife Federation’s NYC Eco-Schools are advancing solutions to reduce waste, conserve energy, create green spaces, and engage students in experiential Green STEM opportunities! NYC Eco-Schools is partnering with the NYC Department of Education, the National Park Service, ioby.org and a variety of non-profit and corporate partners to give schools the support and resources they need to solve important environmental and education challenges, and to help students spend more time outdoors.
Registered NYC Eco-Schools receive invitations to free borough-wide events and workshops, including the popular Sustainability Coordinator gatherings at model green schools, a monthly e-newsletter, and opportunities to connect with other NYC Eco-Schools, as well as Eco-Schools around the nation and around the globe.
