The National Wildlife Federation investigated and researched multiple online platforms and selected the iEARN online Collaborative Platform. iEARN stands for International Education and Resource Network. iEARN is a global nonprofit founded in 1988 that is now active in over 30,000 schools and youth organizations in more than 140 countries worldwide. iEARN engages over two million students daily in collaborative work. There are school-wide annual license fees and teacher training costs that will be paid for by the project. iEARN has a robust presence in both the US and Taiwan—which helps to facilitate this project.
At the end of their project, the participating schools will be eligible for an award of a USA-Taiwan Eco-Campus flag.
