RESTON, VA – The National Wildlife Federation’s iconic magazines, Ranger Rick, Ranger Rick Jr. and Ranger Rick CUB have each received 2018 Parents’ Choice Gold Awards, the Parent’s Choice Foundation’s highest honors. Recognized for editorial and design excellence, the Ranger Rick brand continues to engage kids with wildlife learning fun. The 2018 honors mark a total of 22 Parent’s Choice Awards for Ranger Rick publications.
“It is an honor to be recognized by the Parent’s Choice Awards. The National Wildlife Federation is committed to inspiring and empowering kids of all ages to learn about and protect wildlife and natural spaces through the adventures of Ranger Rick and his friends,” said Mary Dalheim, Editorial Director for Ranger Rick. “For more than 50 years, Ranger Rick magazines have delivered the message to generations of children that being good stewards of the environment makes our world a happier and healthier place for all. That message is more relevant today than ever before.”
Designed to help parents and caregivers make informed decisions about which products are right for their children, the Parents' Choice Awards honor the best material for children in the areas of books, toys, music and storytelling, magazines, software, videogames, television and websites. Winners are selected by a panel of educators, scientists, performing artists, librarians, parents and kids themselves to identify the very best products for children of different ages and backgrounds, and of varied skill and interest levels.
