WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Senate should join the national push to develop and act upon urgently needed bipartisan climate solutions, the National Wildlife Federation said today. A new resolution from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) would establish a Senate counterpart to the U.S. House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis.
“Climate change is the defining problem of our time — and it demands timely solutions on par with the crisis we face,” said Laura Daniel Davis, vice president for conservation strategy at the National Wildlife Federation. “The U.S. Senate should join with the House in exploring how we can reduce emissions, promote resilience, and make any progress possible to address climate change.”
