WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Wildlife Federation, America’s largest wildlife conservation organization, with 53 state and territorial affiliates and more than six million members and supporters, announced today that Brendon Barclay will join the organization as manager of education and engagement for Georgia.

Barclay has served as a consultant for the National Wildlife Federation’s Earth Tomorrow Summer Institute Youth Program since 2003, where he has provided training and team building to develop youth leadership skills in areas like education, cultural diversity and environmental conservation.

“Brendon has been a leading force for education and youth engagement in Atlanta for over 20 years,” said Susan Kaderka, executive director of the at the National Wildlife Federation’s South Central Regional Center. “I’m thrilled that he’s joining the National Wildlife Federation team. Our work with youth and with schools in Georgia will be greatly enriched by his energy, his talent, and his strong commitment to cultivating the next generation of leaders.” 

Barclay has been helping organizations and agencies to effect change at the intersection of environmental stewardship and youth development in the Atlanta area for more than 20 years. Previously, he worked for organizations including Positive Growth Inc., The Atlanta Outdoor Activity Center, AmeriCorps and Spelman College.

Barclay begins his new role today working in Atlanta in partnership with the National Wildlife Federation’s South Central Regional Center.
