Senate Should Swiftly Confirm Laura Daniel Davis to Help Address Challenges Facing People, Wildlife

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The full U.S. Senate should swiftly confirm Laura Daniel Davis to serve as the next Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management at the U.S. Department of the Interior following her nomination's vote in committee. Davis, who is exceptionally qualified for the position, has been a longtime advocate for bipartisan solutions and the responsible management of public lands and waters for the benefit of all people and wildlife.

“At a time when people and wildlife alike are facing unprecedented challenges, Laura Daniel Davis is the exact type of leader we need ensuring that our public lands and waters are responsibly stewarded for the benefit of all,” said Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation. “The crises we face today only underscore why we needed Laura confirmed to this important position yesterday. The Senate should swiftly confirm her nomination so she can continue her work to safeguard our wildlife heritage, bolster local economies, and restore our public lands and waters to ensure they thrive for generations to come.”
