What is it? Poetry in Motion

TO BIRD LOVERS, this is poetry in motion. Sandpipers fill the air above Willapa National Wildlife Refuge in Washington in late April. "I photographed this group of migrating shorebirds with a large telephoto lens but at close range," says photographer Jason Stone. "There is only one plane of focus but this allowed me to give the feeling of being inside the flock with many birds around you."
