At this time, we are only able to support native tree seedling reimbursement for our State Affiliates and existing partners of the National Wildlife Federation, including those participating in the following programs: Community Wildlife Habitat™, Mayors’ Monarch Pledge, Schoolyard Habitats®, and EcoSchools U.S. programs. Please click on the provided links to learn how to get involved!
The National Wildlife Federation provides reimbursement for free or subsidized native tree seedlings to approved partners who in turn plant them through local restoration projects or community tree giveaway events. Tree giveaway events typically involve distributing seedlings to individuals that will plant the trees and care for them at home.
National Wildlife Federation partners must have a plan to care for the trees after planting. Partners include National Wildlife Federation affiliates, EcoSchools U.S., Schoolyard Habitats®, and Community Wildlife Habitat™ program participants. Over the last decade, the National Wildlife Federation and its partners have brought communities together to plant and care for more than 560,000 native trees which provide community benefits, connect children with nature, and create wildlife habitat.
Trees for Wildlife™ works with partners and community groups across the country to learn about and plant and care for trees. If you are interested in planting trees and seeing how your group or organization can work with the National Wildlife Federation, please email trees@nwf.org.
