Ross Griffin to Serve as Associate Vice President of Government Affairs

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Conservation advocate and Capitol Hill veteran Ross Griffin will serve as the National Wildlife Federation’s next associate vice president of government affairs. In this role, Griffin will lead NWF’s government relations and manage the teams that engage with federal, state, and Tribal policymakers.

“Recovering America’s wildlife and restoring habitat are ideas that bring people and policymakers together across ideologies, geographies, and generations,” said Karla Raettig, chief advocacy officer at the National Wildlife Federation. Ross has spent his career building bridges and making progress on conservation issues regardless of the partisan landscape in our nation’s capital — and we’re excited to see him continue to do so in this important leadership role.”

“The challenges facing America’s wildlife, habitat, and people are immense, but so too are the opportunities to achieve lasting victories at the federal, state, and Tribal levels,” Griffin said. “I look forward to working with my colleagues and NWF’s state and territorial affiliates to advance nonpartisan solutions that match the scale of the problems facing wildlife and people alike.”

Griffin has spent more than a decade working at NWF and on the Hill to advance critical legislation and policies that protect clean water and air, conserve public lands, and recover wildlife. Prior to joining NWF in 2021, Griffin worked for seven years in various roles for U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio. He is a graduate of Ohio University.
