Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) has announced her support of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency limits on industrial carbon pollution, the first Republican U.S. senator to do so. “I have decided to support the Clean Power Plan to address climate change through clean energy solutions that will protect our environment. New Hampshire is already well on its way to meet the goals of the Clean Power Plan through positive steps it has already taken,” said Sen. Ayotte, citing New Hampshire’s success in cutting pollution through the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
