Washington, DC — As students around the world and the United States step up to demand action during the Youth Climate Strike on March 15, the National Wildlife Federation stands in solidarity with youth leaders. Mustafa Santiago Ali, vice president for Environmental Justice, Climate and Community Revitalization, offered a passionate statement of support in a video message.
“It’s time to treat the climate crisis like the crisis that it is, and give attention to the resources that it deserves,” said Mustafa Santiago Ali, vice president for Environmental Justice, Climate and Community Revitalization for the National Wildlife Federation. “We are running out of time. Tens of thousands of young leaders are breaking from school and saying ‘now is the time to act because tomorrow will be too late.’ So we stand and we march in solidarity with you, and for future generations. Let’s support this Youth Climate Strike, and save our planet, and save our lives.”
National Wildlife Federation provides curricula and learning opportunities to build climate literacy, engage students in civic activities and conservation projects, and empower them to take an active role in shaping a more sustainable and climate resilient future.
