WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Wildlife Federation heralded the bipartisan vote to confirm Brenda Mallory as the next chair of the Council on Environmental Quality. Her confirmation will ensure the Council on Environmental Quality champions environmental justice and climate solutions that work for people and wildlife alike.
“Brenda Mallory has a world-class understanding of the climate, biodiversity and environmental injustice crises that we face today, and this bipartisan confirmation vote will ensure she can hit the ground running,” said Collin O’Mara, president and CEO on the National Wildlife Federation. “We’re excited to work with Chair Mallory on the challenges facing people and wildlife alike — and the need to center equitable solutions in communities that have all too often been treated as sacrifice zones.”
Mallory serves on the Women in Conservation Leadership Advisory Committee and helped plan the 2020 Women in Conservation Leadership Summit.
