WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Senate’s decision to take up the bipartisan infrastructure framework is an important first step toward Congress’s passage of the types of resilience and restoration projects that will benefit people and wildlife alike.

“The bipartisan infrastructure framework before the Senate would put millions of Americans back to work strengthening community resilience, cleaning up legacy pollution, restoring wildlife habitat, and pursuing common-sense climate solutions,” said Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation. “This framework is a great start and now Congress and the White House must build upon this foundation to ensure that wildlife, frontline communities, and proven natural resilience investments are not left behind.”
