Certified Public Gardens

Check out the public gardens in your area that are designated as a Certified Wildlife Habitat® by the National Wildlife Federation. These gardens provide wildlife gardeners with ideas for layered native plantings, unique habitat features, and a multitude of native plant inspirations. For fun activities, discounts, and promotions be sure to visit annually on National Public Gardens’ Day, historically the Friday before Mother’s Day weekend.

Once known for exotic plant collections, botanical gardens around the country are increasingly promoting and displaying native species and implementing extensive land and wildlife conservation practices.
