RCDS took full advantage of the Create Your Own Action action cards, sharing their work on their environmental film festival, regional Envirothon, and Earth Fair.
The Academy of the Holy Angels developed a robust action plan that integrated all three EcoSchools themes: Wildlife and Biodiversity, Climate Change, and Healthy and Resilient Schools.
Working with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and several other partners, AOA raised and released Atlantic salmon into the Detroit River using the Fish Stewards action card.
These wetland warriors are fundraising to support the removal of the invasive salt cedar and combat illegal dumping at their district’s wetland using the Species Diversity action card.
Collaborating with the Eagle Scouts, this whole school endeavor worked to maintain their outdoor native plant learning spaces with diverse habitats, like a rain garden and dry stream bed, using the Restoring Biodiversity Balance to the Schoolyard action card.
The Earth Rangers at TES discussed single-use plastic concerns at the Climate Summit organized by the Denver Public Schools Students for Climate Action through their work on the Single-Use Plastics action card.
