Portland based hunter and angler, Phoebe Stoner, reflects on climate change and how it affects the environment around her and the migration patterns of the ducks she and her hunting dog target every year:
“I have a lot of privilege and with that privilege is responsibility. To me the responsibility is to be a steward to the resource that I am enjoying and that others are enjoying. Climate change is probably the largest and broadest issue affecting our habitat and our populations that we like to hunt. It’s so important that the hunting and angling community engage in this issues so dogs like Gizmo and folks like me and new hunters and anglers have the same opportunities that we’ve been afforded.”
